Is a good game... For fans of the series or people really looking for a srpg.
Let's just say the port isn't good in general (I don't know if the normal game had these problems) but it feels a little clunky and there are random load times disguised as the models just standing there in some parts between others minor things.
However if you can look past these minor inconveniences you got a very unique experience that can't be found anywhere else, a short of hybrid between a shotter and a normal strategy game, that in general is really good.

Now keep in mind the game IS NOT for everyone, you need to be somewhat pacient to enjoy it, the game forces you to see enemy turns and things like that to sell better the tension of combat, but with the wrong mindset it can kill the game.

So in conclusion the game is good, I recommend it, but the port is not really good playable sure but not good. Before picking it up consider what type of games you enjoy and try to pick it on sale

This game is AMEZING. How the tone of not just the story if not to the gameplay and graphics.
The gameplay can not be a metroidvania but as a puzzle plataformer is pretty fun(except for maybe one dungeon).

But the story o man the story, you may get the felling that desesperately is trying to be complex but it's no. At least from my perspective the story and characters is what sell this game. I'm not going to make spoilers, just be ready to religious statements, broken characters and deaths a lot of deaths. For example two of my favorite characters are Elro and agent Black, you will see why when you play it.

The only two bad things is that the story tries to make Mina the Co-protagonist, and so leaves a lot of characters without screen time. But is not something that bothered me.

Is to a little sort only 10 hours, so pick it on discount if is something that bothers you.

In the switch versions the are some new features: boss rush and *** mode, in witch the enemy's can't hurt you(I had to use it in the final boss because y was to hokked to the story xd)

Well in conclusion I recomend this game to anyone who likes story telling or a gameplay metroid/contra(in the bosses) like

A very good game if you like multi-player, and kart racers.
It sure don't have a lot of content but the new mechanics make it.
If you are a sonic super fan or a kart racer fan, you will enjoy it.
But I recomend get it on sales, is not as good as other kart racers.

(if you want to go to the general thoughts they a are on the bottom of the commentary)
Well I haven't played many visual novels so keep it in mind reading this review. Oh and before playing it I have watched the anime (the original and 0) so my opinion can differ because of that.

Being a visual novel the gameplay is clearly lacking, you only have a little variety of choices, so the gameplay is LAKING. Don't expect much to none interaction.
In presentation is pretty decent personally I prefer this art much more that the original art (I don't know it I don't liked it that much) the only problem is that in some scenes they use the original CG and portraits clashing brutally with the ones that you normally see. It is supossed to represent the change of timelines but well, when you put a character from the timeline of 0 in the original artstyle it simply doesn't go well.
The music sometimes can get repetitive (for much that I like re awake I don't need to hear it 5 times in half of a hour because you keep interrupting it), but still the pieces itself are pretty enjoyable mainly: Re-Awake, Messenger from Zero, and the true ending credits.

But well the important part of a VN is the story is it not? Yes and that's because even with the problems I still really really enjoy it, but it is important to know that:

YOU NEED TO PLAY/WATCH THE ORIGINAL either the anime or the VN.

With that said the story is more darker that the first one, depending of taste it can be for you or not. But still it has that hook that sucks you into the story at least for me.
I enjoy almost all the characters (there's 4 or 5 that are only on a few scenes, so this don't go to them) even the one that appear to be more of comedy relief like Daru have a lot of moments to shine.
In particular as a character our protagonist Okabe is very interesting, this version of him is a selfish, broken and depressed one that alredy sets the tone of the game.
I'm not going to say much more but if the sipnosips interest you and you're okay with sometimes beging a little to edgy( don't worry is not shadow the hedgehog or something like that, but imagine the darker times of the original duplicated in intensity at some times).

On side note if you watched the anime I recommend playing this novel and in reverse, if you played watch the anime. They both have their strengths and weakness (I don't **** to extend to much in this now)

SO IN CONCLUSION: this story is not for everyone, but if you enjoyed the original, and enjoy well written dramas I reccomed it to you, it definetelly has thought put into it (even if it isn't perfect at all) and it's not only a cashgrab. And it makes a good addition to put to one of my favorite narratives in general.

Thanks for reading this far even if I'm such a fanboy of this franchise.
El. Psy. Kongroo.

Even if the cast is not the best it could had been, the game is great in the gameplay. The best warriors gameplay at least in my opnion with the pair up mechanics, the weapon triangle etc.
If you look besides it flaws you can enjoy a great game. Not recommended to people who dislike moushuo games (well because is the gender of the gameplay)
