This game is fantastic. Despite it’s short playtime of 4-10 hours (depending on how much you pay attention to the story), and it’s basic 8-bit art style, this game is perfect for what it is. The story is great, with plot twists and interesting characters set in a neo-Tokyo dystopian future, tho most people don’t care to much for the story, katana zero is really known for its kickass gameplay. You traverse each level with a simple move set of run, jump, dodge roll and attack (with your katana), however you also have the ability to pick up and throw objects, and to slow down time, this ability can help you when countering bullets and sending them back at the enemy you can play through the story an endless amount of times and there is also a speed run option, I play this often, trying my best to get a better time. You die in one hit, but so do your enemies, making battles difficult but extremely fun. it’s a fast paced, action packed, side scrolling, retro style, fight ing game, and an absolute must for fans of action games.
