Simple mechanics and enjoyable gameplay loop. As long as you don't play this game expecting innovative ideas and design, you should appreciate it. Exploration is fun, there is a good balance of traveling/exploration/combat/problem solving and the game successfully gives you a sense of progress as you upgrade various aspects of your character.

No matter what the reviews say this is a lot of fun. I have about 40 hours of playtime, going through a lot of the side quests and I am really enjoying the way the game plays. I purchased it on sale and I'm getting a lot of value for the price I paid. Fully voiced game, good story, fun and diverse combat.

Acceptable game. Don't pay full price for this. In its current state, the second iteration is much better than this one. There are some promising mechanics and customization options but it feels this was rushed to release. I hope to see patches to fix the loading times, frame rate issues, crashes, etc.

Runs smoothly in handheld, loading times are very quick. The rest is history.

I am level 178 but my destruction skill is at 99, this is embarassing. Other than that I can literally smash dragons with napkins. I shouls probably start a new game but Im chasing that 1 point in destruction. Worth it.

Great value. About 10 hours played so far and I am enjoying building my characters. Not very far in the story but so far its good.

If you are worried about performance its just as glitchy As on pc. Which means it still plays fine and its an amazing strategy game. I played about 3 hours in handheld mode and it looked great, loading times are not too bad, just between missions and this usually happens once every 30 minutes.

Really interesting game, combat is fun, grinding is rewarding but not necessary. Terrible load times when starting the game and when loading new zones, really annoying. Otherwise its a good game

Its snowing the whole time and the soundtrack consists of piano only. You will definately be unimpressed you like the classical type of rpg that sends you to the desert, the swamp, the magic forest, the hot volcano, the gothic castle.... However this approach is deliberate and sets a nice tone, I played it in the winter maybe that helps. There is a sense of repetition but I wanted to see the story unfold and I was rewarded for my effort. I recommend if its on sale.

If you enjoy the grinding aspect of tactical rpgs this is a good game for you. There is not a whole lot of customization or itemization depth but it was still an very enjoyable experience. The game difficulty is tuned to force you to adapt to battles, there is no real way to create a super hero character here.

Everything about this game is good. I am not a huge fan of "pokemon" style games but the familiar based combat is just one aspect of the experience. I enjoyed every minute of my play through. If you want a challenge don't use the DLC familiars, they are so ridiculously strong that they remove the incentive to swap in combat or use affinity in party selection. (You'll learn about these mechanics)

First of all, I played through inal fantasy tactics about a dozen times. Unlocking all special characters, or playing with only chocobos, or a mime astronomer combo, or just chemists. I love tactical rpgs like this. I am probably biased. In *** Wars, the story is a little shallow, characters are not very relatable, there is no real sense of danger, but there is a great variety of classes and combinations and good replay value. It takes a few hours to really reach its potential but if you can grab this on sale it offers great value.

I played it more than diablo for 1/3 of the price. Both great games. You won't find as many customization options but the music, the pace and the endless new game + option makes this an addictive action rpg. The Devs also released multiple content patches, which is not something you would expect from a cheap game like this.

Perfect port of a fantastic game. Its innovative and addictive. It makes fun of itself. While the gameplay loop is very simple, there is a lot of cutomization on the deckbuilding aspect and good replay value. I hesitated before buying the pc version because its hard to fully appreciate the gameplay quality until you actually try it, I am glad I did. Its one of the rare games that I pre-ordered on my switch. Perfect balance of action epg and deck building.
