Taiko is cute! Was debating whether or not to pick this one up but, Don-Chan and friends are so charming, the song selection is nice, and the added Kirby and Squid characters? I was sold!

Gameplay wise, it’s just a rhythm game with drumming aspects, but it is fun! I really want to try out the drum controller one day to simulate the arcade version. My joycons work well for now. The motion controls are a hit or miss for me.

I do dislike that some of the songs on the PS4 version aren’t on this one. It’s really more of me being nit-picky though, since we got some cool exclusives for this release.

I like Taiko! It’s a cute, simple game and allows me to get my satisfaction when I want to play a rhythm game. I can’t compare it to the other games in the franchise since I’m new to it, but I enjoy and continue to enjoy it!

Where do I even start?

BOTW is one of the BEST games I have ever played. For the longest time I was skeptical when fans were saying this was the best zelda game, but man did that immediately change. BOTW wasn’t just a game to me, it was an experience. I really don’t have much to say other than it is lovely.

Whether your fan of RPGs, Zelda, or even a newcomer to the switch, I highly recommend you get this game. Pour your heart into it, it is 100% worth it.

Splatoon 2 has a lot to offer! The new music is great, the modes are fun, new maps to play on, tons of new weapons and gimmicks to try, there’s more customization for your inkling, and with the DLC you can even play as an octoling! While as of now there aren’t updates anymore, I keep coming back to play some more rounds of turf war. Salmon Run alone is a fantastic addition from the previous game.

I cannot ignore the connection issues I do have every so often. The servers are sometimes pretty wacky, causing online matches to be a bust. This isn’t much of an issue anymore as it was in the release of the game though.

There’s also a single player storyline which felt lackluster as well. I won’t say spoilers but if you’re a fan of the first game, don’t expect much. Seeing the past idols was super cute but it felt underwhelming and expected. The DLC on the otherhand is FANTASTIC. It’s entirely new gameplay along with a much more new and interesting plot. I ended up falling in love with every single character, especially the idols! If you’re willing to spend an extra $20, it is a well deserved addition to the game!

As mentioned before, Salmon Run is one of the best aspects of the game. It’s a brand new mode to the games and it’s extremely fun to play. It is also not available every day. In my opinion, this is a bummer. Why give it a rotation period, especially since it’s separate from turf war and ranked?

As a die hard fan? I’d give it a 5/5, but overall it is a 4.8/5. I love it a ton, but there’s little changes here and there I wish I could fix.

I hope you enjoyed the read!
